Newport Beach is not a beach you pack for. You park, you walk five blocks, you realize you forgot everything, and you spend $40 at the lifeguard tower stand buying things you didn't want. We fixed that. The Beach Day pack is exactly what two locals would throw in the back on a Tuesday. Chairs, shade, sun protection, the guide with the actual good spots. Pull up. Pop the trunk. You're set.

$195 maximum per trip — no matter how many days you're here. Beach all week, not just the first three days.

What's Included

  • 2 Beach Chairs
    Full-size, low-profile. The kind that don't fold in on you mid-sip. Both go in the trunk, both come out in under 60 seconds.
  • Beach Blanket
    Oversized. Sits four. Does not disappear under sand the moment wind picks up.
  • Beach Umbrella
    Actual shade. Anchors in the sand properly. Bring SPF anyway — this is California and it will still get you.
  • Sunscreen Kit
    SPF 50 face + body. Reef-safe. You won't regret it at 2pm when you think you look fine and you don't.
  • S&K Branded Tote
    It all rides in this. Take it home. People will ask where you got it.
  • Locals Only Guide Card
    Four beaches with drive times from HQ, best parking, when to go for calm water vs. waves, and the one sunset spot that doesn't make the tourism sites. Printed, in the car.

How It Works

    Add Beach Day to your booking. Everything is loaded in the car at delivery — no separate pickup.

    Drop the tote at your spot. Chairs unfold in 30 seconds. Umbrella anchors in under a minute.

    Return gear at drop-off. Keep the tote. It's yours.
$65/day. $195 max for the whole trip — so a 5-day vacation doesn't cost you 5 beach days. The water's warm. The chairs are in the car. Just go.

Do I have to return the tote bag?
No. The tote is yours. Take it home.
Is the sunscreen reef-safe?
Yes. We stock reef-safe SPF 50 only — Crystal Cove State Beach has reef protections and we take that seriously.
Can I add the Beach Day pack after I've already booked?
Yes — text us before pickup and we'll stage everything.
Is there a damage deposit for the gear?
No deposit. Gear must be in the car at return. Missing or damaged items are charged at replacement cost.
Can I use the pack at Crystal Cove vs. Newport main?
Anywhere in OC. The Locals Only guide covers Crystal Cove, Newport main, Balboa, and a couple spots we don't put on the internet.
